Albion Stoneaxe, Count of Nietier, is a dwarven friend of the archduke, Aeric Boeruine, who tries to protect his fief's inhabitants with all his might against the Manslayer's incursions and does it admirably.

Count Albion is married to Kilnuffa Greystone of Pechalinn, where her brother, Belvafik Greystone is the Thane. She is an able administrator and experienced master stone mason. Her efforts have improved the fortifications of the Defiance of Men, but her rigor has angered the human quarrymen and guilders of the province who claim she routinely rejects perfectly good stone.
