[top]Biography:
Sacha Kaptrev comes from boyar family in Tsongya Vale zhupa. His ancestor was one of Igor Nikailov tsarevos during the conquest of Medec and the Kaptrev clan was awarded with wast lands in Tsongya Vale. As the decades passed Kaptrevs turned from savage Vos warriors to peaceful farmers and traders, at the cost of family's prestige and honor. But things changed greatly when Sacha's grandfather Yuri sold most of the family's lands and started the guild known as Tsongya Shippers and took all the commerce in the zhupa.
Yuri was an adept trader and negotiator and swiftly grew the guild, in time he won back the old family lands and made the family quite wealthy by local standards. After Yuri died Sacha's father Voislav expanded the guild beyond the borders of the province by less noble methods. Voislav Kaptrev made the agreement with Chernevik of that time and than muscled his way to the control of Aziev and Forestmarch zhupas commerce. This move made family name great again, and Voislav gained the seat in Boyarski Zbor.
Young Sacha weary of his fathers cutthroat ways, moved east in Sovradaloy zhupa where he organized the local hunters, woodcutters and cattle herders in his own guild the Sovradaloy Shumars. There he made few trading contacts with Elves and Khinasi and used the confrontation of Gradny Coster and Tsongya Shippers to expand his guild to Dansk and Ras Medecin zhupas. After the loss of guilds in Forestmarch, the aging Voislav Kaptrev decided that Sasha had proved his worth and finally made peace with his son. Sacha inherited his father's position of guildmaster and set about uniting the guilds to form the Northern Traders Guild, centered in Aziev. The new merged guild is a surprisingly "civilized" organization, although those who trouble the guild sometimes find that some of 'the old-timers' are willing to use the 'pragmatic methods' of the past to deal with them.
Now the man in late thirties, Sacha walks the thin line between Voivod and Chernevik and this game of politics is keeping him away from his trade. The growing power of Gradny Coster to the south forces Sacha to find the trading partners, but who can be trusted in that, goblins certainly not.
