To the D20 Playtest Team, and anyone else who might be interested:
I have designed a revised version of the battle system that I'm planning to playtest this weekend. While I was here, I wanted to make it available to anyone who was interested. It uses the rules in the D20 Playtest book as a basis, but makes some revisions and allows for a bigger map, more units per army on the board, and new Fortification rules and layouts (these last are only in text description. I don't have tools for graphics, unfortunately).
So if anyone out there is interested in taking a look, feel free to drop me an email at "osprey424@yahoo.com" and I'll send them as a Word attachment.
I also included two new unit training types, Skirmisher (for irregulars and cavalry archers, allowing "move and fire" rules) and Stealth (irregulars only). Artillery rules were also revised for more accurate reflection of their abilities.
Much inspiration taken from Medieval Total War.
