I'll have to keep that in mind. It won't help me right now, cos Gorgon is
starting his visit to heartlands and a meteorite will drop in spiderfell.
Meteorite is actually piece of Mount Deismaar and has some Bloodstones
inside. It will start a huge inrush to Spiderfell as all major regent in
Anuirea try to get those stones to themselves. After dust has setled I
guess some major regents will join ranks to stop PCs rise to power.

Well Harri, armies are not the only way to put sticks in the legs of
your players. Intelligence IS mandatory to become a worthy regent. Use
assassins, spies, agitate actions, mercs who don't know their real boss,
pirates, awnsheg.(like Spider). If one regent actions is not enough, go
for an alliance with Ghoere, Diemed, Orthien Tane and Osodere. After
all, they're the ones with the most to lose/gain (imagine the bounty of
Illien and Roesone !!!!).

Some of the solutions that seem obvious to me involve plague, famine, and things of that nature.
After all having that many men crammed together in barracks and such is bound to cause some such
problems.

What about the problems that might arise when some ambitious(well-liked) general decides that he
could run the country better than the player can. With a large enough Army, civil war and unrest
could become a serious problem to try to quell.

Just some ideas.
