I agree. After all what are scions but really minor deities themselves? Does
Haelyn lose his power if he shifts a plane?

greetings,

i was wondering if anyone has played the the birthright pc game The
Gorgon's Alliance, and how it compares to the actual game. I know that
some of the rules have been changed to make the game more computer
ready, but are the changes that drastic? I've read the novels and now
after playing the computer game am seriously considering buying the
boxed set. Plus would a blooded Cerilian keep his/her powers on the
planes?
thanks
JMG

ps is Birthright going to be continued now that TSR is owed by the
wizards? Havent heard any definites.

Seriously considering?? Waste no more time in thought...go get it! If you
liked the books, and you liked the computer game, then you will love the
setting.

Nope.

For anyone who's played the game...what's it like? I wasn't too
impressed by the appearance of the graphics on sierra's website, nor
some of the music clips I listened to. But the idea of playing
birthright on the computer is intriguing. Is it vey close to the real
thing? Are the characters sufficiently detailed? Enough that it works
as a decent CRPG? Or is it all stategy and the characters are simply
minor elements? Are there adequate adventures? Is it buggy? I know
these are a lot of questions, but I'm considering purchasing and I
figured this was the place to ask.

**anyone who responds, could you please send response to MY e-mail
address, since I'll be off the list for a couple days??**

Thanks,

Paul L.

The Planewalkers handbook states that a blooded Cerilian severs his
tie to the land and gradually loses his blood abilities upon leaving
Cerilia....of course, his blood abilities would return upon his return
to Cerilia, but the severed ties....maybe not.

Actually, this is just TSRs way of balancing characters with special
abilities coming from Prime worlds. I believe that Planescape would be
correct in determining what happens when a character travels to the
planes, however, it seems kind of similar to some rules I saw somewhere
about reducing Dark Sun charactes abilities to 3-18 range...

Since it appears you went to the conference, did they mention whether or
not BR is going to be continued into '98?? In my opinion, Dark Sun,
Birthright, and Planescape are the best campaign settings TSR has EVER
made...unfortunately, one of them has gone belly up, I'd rather not lose
BR too....
