Here is an idea, although it is farfetched. It is based on what is
said in Havens of the Great Bay. In this expansions it said that some
sahaguin became blooded after slaying a scion. Normally this isn't possible,
as only scions can commit bloodtheft, so I thought up of the following blood
ability (more like a curse though) to explain this phenomena. It also
explains why when some awnsheghlien are slain their slayers suddenly become
awnsheghlien themselves (like the Minotaur).

Migrant Blood Minor
Derivations: all

This regent can suffer bloodtheft from any individual blooded or
not.If the slayer is unblooded then he gains one bloodline point, this
ability as a minor ability, and a tainted bloodline of this derivation. If
the slayer is a blooded scion then he gains this ability and the victims
derivation (any blood abilityies now uncompatible with the scion's
derivation are re rolled).
This bloodability may seem more like a curse, but that is only one
way to look at it. In fact it makes sure the bloodline to which it belongs
will never die out. It benefits the line as opposed to the individual
belonging to it.

Any way, this means that when scions with this ability are slain by
sahaguin then the bloodlines move into the ocean, where it will
naturalyspread through the maritime races as they war with each other. With
time the line will cross the ocean and, when a blooded sahaguin raids a
coastal town, back on to land, preferably on another continent. Again, the
blooded regents would gain power and be able to establish domains and
holdings (although magic would work differently). These regents would be
able to use their RP to expand their bloodlines and voila! bloodlines in
other realms.
This of course leads to another idea. Under sea domains should also
develope. I wonder what these would be like... and how much source would
they have?

I was just thinking to myself: How is TSR going to expand into new
territory??? The Deismaar accident give bloodline to Cerilians... but
what about the other races accross the straits.... accross the sea of
dragons... etc.... They would have a tough time actually gaining blood
lines...except for maybe REALLY tained ones....
Any comments???

Remember that the bloodlines in Cerelia aare only thos that ended up on
this side of the straits. Azrai had plenty of people from the south on
his side in the war.

Actually I was thinking that TSR left themselves a nice little opening for
expansion in BR. We saw what the death of the gods brought upon the SW, so
we can only guess at how it affected other lands on the same planet. The
nature of the world changed, but the peoples continued. I'm sure they have
compensated in ways we can only guess at for now. At least until TSR decides
to put out some stuff about them. Although they still have plenty to tackle
on the Cerilian contenient before they they start delveing into far-away
lands. At least IMHO.
