Thanks to all who answered my query. I don't have the book of Magecraft
yet and did not know of the exclusion. I loathe arbitrary DM rulings on
such matters & I am glad to see it is covered.

However I'm surprised people still think that an unblooded mage who enters
Aerbynnis with memorized spells could not cast them. Given Eds post
referenced below it is a DM call and he called otherwise. But of course, as
always YMMV.Date: Wed, 22 Oct 1997 09:09:16 -0700

1) Research.
2) There is no reason for the Wizards to guard their Books. Don't you think
they will have Mages for assisstants. Copying is easy enough. Understanding
is goverened by intelligence, no problem. All you have to do is get to a
place where the Casting/Memorizing restriction doesn't bind you. IMHO of course

BTW has anything been said about restrictions on magic in the shadow
world ? I have read most if not all of the archives and do not remember
seeing any such.
