Here's a magical crossbow I invented. Comments welcome.

Crossbow of the Darkblades

There are five of these light crossbows in existance. They were created by
Adaliz bint Badr (FKh; W5; Bs, major 31; NG), second-in-command of the
Darkblades, a group of outlaws lining in the Basilisk's domain. They were
created to help against the Zhaïnge Giants. The crossbows have stocks of cedar
wood and bows of pine. When used with normal bolts, the crossbows have a bonus
of +1. However, if the string is drawn back without the bolt, a bolt of
adamantite with a copper tip appears. These bolts are Hill Giant Slayers. When
they strike a Hill Giant, he must save vs. death, or die. Each of these
crossbows has never been used for that purpose and have 99 charges each.
Adaliz's leader, Kalilah Sun-Eyes is said to be most impressed and thankful to
her.
