There is a slight problem with that rule - namely, TSR's official sources
disagree. For an example, I direct your attention to Mhoried. IIRC, both
the Mhor and his son have the exact same bloodline strength and score. Did
the Mhor give birth to his son without the benefit of a wife? :) There are
other examples like that (the Diems, I think, as well as the Roesones).

This doesn;t cause a problem, as there are sever ther solutions ...it is
possible that his wife was /is blooded with a blodline of nearly the same
or the same as the Mhor (within one either way gives an offspring with the
same ability). More likely is that throughout his life, the Mhor's son
was able to perform deeds or rule well enough that he was able to increase
his bloodline and it happens to be the same as his father..
