That's easy: They do not worship gods and will persecute those who try to
"push" religion on them. Most elven nations have rules or laws on this.

The Elves of BR worship no gods. There are many theories as to why, but no one is certain. Perhaps because they themselves are immortal, they feel that
gods are not really worthy of worship. They won't turn to worshipping gods, either...it is totally outside their nature. One of my players theorized that
some Elves may revere nature or have a pantheistic view (that is, the universe is divine, etc.) or monotheistic (belief in only one God..not merely revering
only one of many) beliefs...but in any case I would not give them any spells (the pantheistic universe may only "grant" spells through wizard magic and it
could be argued that the if there is one God, he/she wants his/her followers to live by faith and not just because he/she grants spells). I think it may be
a mix of views, each elf has his own beliefs. And, due to their chaotic and individual lifestyle, any religions they may have would not organize into
temples as we would see them.
