Okay here we go again....#1 Does the regent of a province collect taxes
from the holdings in his domain that he doesn't directly control? #2 If
there is an enemy holding in his domain, he doesn't collect taxes from
that, but the enemy province does? #3 Do you count foreign holdings in
your domain when figuring the number of provinces and holdings for
maintence? #4 If regents do collect the offerings from holdings he
doesn't directly control, does it have to be a lieutenant of his or
something? For example, do you collect offerings from the Haeylns Aegis
church? #5 According to the Ruins of Empire book, how do you determine
if he collects it from the person who opperates the guild or not? Thanks
again for getting all the way to the bottom.

>Okay here we go again....#1 Does the regent of a province collect taxes
>from the holdings in his domain that he doesn't directly control?
Not directly. The Regent of a province collects taxes from his province and
the other regents gain collection (taxes) from their holdings. With a Law
holding, any regent may attempt to claim some portion of another regents
taxation and/or collection as long as they are in the same province. See
Table 18a on page 44 of the BR rulebook.
#2 If there is an enemy holding in his domain, he doesn't collect taxes
from
that, but the enemy province does?
Only the owner of a holding collects taxation/collection from a holding.
Law holdings attempt to claim a portion of that collection, but the regent
in question has to control the law holding.
#3 Do you count foreign holdings in your domain when figuring the number of
provinces and holdings for
maintence?
No, only count those that the regent owns. One doesn't have to maintain
another's holdings.
#4 If regents do collect the offerings from holdings he doesn't directly
control, does it have to be a lieutenant of his or
>something? For example, do you collect offerings from the Haeylns Aegis
church?
I believe you are speaking about Vassalage, so I will answer off of that
premise. When it comes to Leige Lords and vassals, the vassal controls the
holdings that he owns and then pays some sort of tribute to the Leige Lord
according to their vassalage agreement. The Leige lord gains
regency/collection from the holdings/provinces that he/she controls only.
#5 According to the Ruins of Empire book, how do you determine if he
collects it from the person who opperates the guild or not?
I'm not exactly sure what your question pertains to.... I'll assume
vassalage again. The only way to determine this is by reading the text of
the Leige Lord: Darian Avan (Avanil) gains vassalage from Mieres (Aaron
Vaumel), Brosengae (Eriene Mierelen), and Taeghas (Harald Khorien)... what
the exact dealings are is up to you. I believe Boeruine does as well....
The other large NPC's Ghoere and Mhoried are up to you.
Thanks again for getting all the way to the bottom.
