View Full Version : Land`s Choice and M. Roele

Hello Group :)

I have only recently picked up the BOP and found it to be fine work.

The section describing the land choosing a regent after the original one
dies really interested me. It's a great veichle and motivator. This got me
thinking to Michael Roele's dispensation of his bloodline into the ground
during his last battle with the Gorgon.

Perhaps if the right kind of person was to revisit that site and brave the
danger of stoney's lands, they might pick up the "royal" bloodline straight
from the last descendant.

I'm curious to what everybody thinks of this as a plot veichle for a higher
geared campaign in which there is a rat's chance of a PC becoming
emperor. I am not going to use this idea in my game any time soon
but I would still enjoy seeing what others think...

Another good question is what do you people think of the actual
bloodline of Roele? What abilities did it encompass and exactly what
value was the strength? 100? 121? 175?

If we take the good 'ol SH's novels as canon, we know that MR had divine
wrath; more than likely battlewise; courage; but what others?

Personally, I wouldn't make it more than 'Ol Rock Butt's score - lets
see ... say, 140 a good score? Too high? Would anyone give them extra
blood abilities over and above what is normally allowed by the rules?

Cheers,
Darren

I'd say 100. The Gorgon's got 100+ nowadays but he's taken it from a lot
of other scions indeed. But assuming the Gorgon started out with Azrai,
true, 100, I'd say that by the same token Roele started out with Anduiras,
true, 100.

Major Resistance - Magic would seem logical as it's the only major
resistance available to Anduiras' blood derivation and also only available
to great bloodlines (and thus to true bloodlines as well).
And that elemental thingy power (I can't recall what it's called and I
don't have the book with me) would seem nice as well since Anduiras was,
after all, one of the four 'elemental' gods (air, in this case).

Only if he had a Bloodtrait which, as far as I can see, he had not.

Well I don't have the book with me (The novel) but at one time I looked
through the book listing all the blood abilities he gave Micheal Roele. I seem
to recall him having 6 or 7 at least, and there all listed in the book, you
just gotta search through it.

I remeber a friend of mine who has read the books telling me that he
has a blood ability that allowed him to remeber the names and faces of
all of his troops.

Has anyone on this list made a compilation (or would like to?) If so, I
wouldn't mind a copy. Thanks.
