View Full Version : Hag`s Contract--canon?
Hey folks, I just read "The Hag's Contract". While the story itself is
pretty good, there are several inconsistencies in it. (In several places it
refers to the "kings" of Rzhlev and Drachenward--neither of them have
kings.) etc.
I know George Lucas approves everything written about Star Wars to make
sure all the authors are telling stories that don't conflict. Maybe TSR
should do this, too.
No big deal, just thought I'd mention it.

I don't know. I consider the Iron Throne canon, mostly because they used
the events of it in an official timeline for Cerilia in Dragon magazine. I
would guess the Hag's Contract would be somewhat canon, uf you can ignore
inconsistancies.

Canon is what you make of it. It doesn't matter unless the DM says it does

Indeed I am new to this list. I thought for a bit I was one of the few who
enjoyed Birthright as both DM and Player but tis not true.
Though lately I have moved from the AD&D game something I learned early on
was canon is as a DM wishes it.
Too much is produced for games that I disagree with, for example most of the
Domain books I went BAH not my ideas so I don't use them.
In fact 99% of the NPC's I don't use the one's I do are the Regents of
Note-- Gorgon, Spider, and the like.
I have added some of my own mythologies to it
For example I have "The Doppelganger" a Thief whose skills are used for
assassination and whose blood ability is
to mimic the appearance of anyone he can see...
(though he was killed and his Azrai tainted blood was drawn into one of my
pc's)
and the Wild Hunt, led by a blooded Half Elf who fights back against the
Gheallie Sidhe, and rides a huge black stag with silver antlers.....
