To the list;

While this isn't a topic on the list, I think that everyone would benefit
from this post, so I shall only post it once. I have a extra copy of The
Book of Magecraft, and I am willing to sell it for $40 US. This is only
double retail price, and a good deal for such a hard book to find. If anyone
is interested, e-mail me about it at cedyeus@aol.com, and it will be first
come first serve. Thank you for youy understanding, I shall not post this
message again.

My local gamestore which does do mail order still has copies of this book
for original retail for those of you who don't want to blow your whole
gaming budget on a single book.

Uhh...how does everyone on the list benefit from what basically amounts to
Usury in this case? This is an offer to sell something that is basically
useless to the owner (he already has two copies) and is technically USED for
DOUBLE the list price that the book would go for NEW. If you want to
"benefit" the people on this list, and generally expand the Birthright
setting, the book in question should be sold for something much more
reasonable.

Is the Book of Magecraft WORTH $40? I mean, really? Is there anything in
there that I might REALLY want to have? Or is it just "rare"?

The Book of Magecraft IS a MUST HAVE in my opinion. It contains a lot of
useful information and only has a little fluff that is off center for BR.
It's not $40 good though.

Let ME make an offer to anyone. I frequent a number of gaming stores in
three different states. All of which are in the snow belt and have a lot of
gamers, and good backstock. If you want something, just send me an email
(grimwell@hotmail.com) and I'll see if I can get it. If you are willing to
pay the shipping, and pay in advance, I'll get you most anything. From any
line that I can find. I still see most of the product for Birthright in
these stores, though the Boxed set is getting harder and harder to find
(might have to get myself a spare soon, mine is wearing out).

I can work out the exact details on a case by case setup. International
orders not welcome, I tried that before and only got confused. If you would
prefer to go direct, I can pick up business cards for these stores as I
visit them and will send you their contact information. You can then work it
out with them (good for international folks too!)

Don't pay double retail for someones book. That's an opportunist who is not
giving anything to the community. Pay retail plus shipping at most. Heck,
some of the stuff I see is used/discounted so it's even CHEAPER than it's
original retail. BUY THAT.

The Birthright Revival is NOW! :)
When you've had the best, why buy the rest?

Other people are talking about putting up info on game stores here. Sci-Fi
City in Orlando is one of the best-stocked game stores I've ever seen. The
book of Magecraft is the one book that they don't seem to have, but if
you're looking for any other Birthright stuff, including the original boxed
set, give them a call. They do mail order.

Yeah, I can also recommend Sci-Fi City (formerly Enterprise 1701). They
do mailorder , and their selection is superb. They have a webpage, but
they don't update it too often, so I'd recommend calling them for current
selection. Most of my BR books came from there.

I'd like to remind you that there's several internet-based shops on the
web that offer the BoM for even less than the retail price...

that is all...

I think the original intent of this email was to offer a product at what the
seller thought was a good price. They made an overly enthusiastic guess; no
need to jeer at them for it.
