<< Salinger also wrote Franny and Zooey, Raise the High Roof Beam, and Nine
Stories.
>>
And those are actual books? Not just essays or short stories he did or
something like that? I was told that Catcher In The Rye was the only novel
he ever wrote.
<< There are rumors of new, unpublished and amazing stories surrounding a
kind of literary cult of Salinger who long for more work from the man--which
is why I used it as the original analogy for waiting for the BR D20 book to
come out since it was starting to feel more like Waiting for Godot....

By Samuel Beckett. I really enjoyed that play.

You`re right. Technically, it is the only _novel_ he wrote (unless as some
people suspect there is a vast, unpublished body of work.) He wrote those
three additional _books_ though. Franny and Zooey is really two related
novellas which is not technically a novel if one is splitting hairs.

Ah okay, so *that*`s the deal. So what is Raise the High Roof Beam exactly?

It`s another set of novellas following the Glass family around. It differs
a bit from his other work in that the family members are sort of
"over-achievers" rather than the chronic haplessness of in _Catcher_.
