    The First Post By Me.

I have to take my hat off to the loyal fans that have kept "Birthright" alive and updated the setting.

I bought the original campaign setting years ago and wasn't able to play it as most of my friends weren't interested in the setting. I was quite surprised when a friend recently told me that Birthright was "alive and kicking".

I downloaded the "unofficial" rulebook and I'm very impressed. I have one question to the update. I guess it's not getting through the thick candy coated shell of my head, but I don't understand the "Major Regeneration" blood ability entry-it's been bothering me for some reason. Some of parts of the description seem to conflict.
    Here's what I mean:

"A scion with this ablility can regenerate severed limbs, damaged organs and senses, and heal damage faster than normal or blooded beings."

But later in the description is this:

"This ability enables the scion to recover from otherwise
permanent damage including deep wounds, burns, scars,
blindness, lameness, etc. (but he cannot regenerate severed
    body parts
or reverse magical conditions such as blindness or
    paralysis)."

Huh? And the time of healing seems at odds:

"If limbs, organs, or senses are lost,
they are restored in weeks (30 days, reduced by one day per
    Constitution point
    )."

    But what about:

"In such cases, the scion recovers 1% of any lost
    ability per day
. If the scion is blinded by physical injury, for
example, he’ll completely regain his eyesight in 100 days
    ."

I don't know if someone has already brought this up, but I'm not getting it for some reason.

    Thanks,

    Ron

It has come up before but I'm lousy at links.

On regeneration you can regrow an arm, but you cannot regrow from an arm.

i.e. If someone cuts your arm off and feeds it to their varsk, you can regrow the arm.

but if they feed all of you except an arm to the varsk, the arm can't regrow the rest of you...

Not sure on the other point, but it could be the difference between a damaged body part (a crushed arm) vs a destroyed body part (see above re: varsks).

it's pretty wacky, and needs some serious detailing.

Thanks for the help. What about a product list.

I thought it was just me. Thanks.

Does anyone have a COMPLETE product list of Birthright publications and source material? I'm trying to get it all.

I recently won ebay auctions for a NEW copy of Gorgon's Alliance and a 3 book lot of "Iron Throne", "Hag's Contract", and "The Spider's Test"-$6.50 for the 3 books! Yay me!(Sorry gregr3648, but you snooze, you lose) It's all still out there if you look.

    Thanks.

    Check on the Wiki page:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birthri...mpaign_setting)

Scroll down a little ways and you'll find the section that has the listing of the products.

    Novel that's missing is:

    Shadow Stone (Forgotten Realms)
It was originally supposed to be for Birthright. There are a few typos in the book that give you clues as to who it's about. It's not the best novel, but it's "part of the series".
