How do you use mebhaighl in Faerun in conjunction with the weave??
I know of only one magic rich area in the realms, The Stone Stand, all magic cast there are at 150% of efficiency.
Do you use Realm Magic in the Realms????

I think that you could use it... as said before you could trade Source for Magic College.
Temple of Mystra in Waterdeep possess a spellpool if I remember. Also, Pool of Radiance could be great spellpools.
I am not very familiar yet to the realm magic and everything that implicate in the FR setting but thinking of Vanderghast, Elminster and Blackstaff protecting entire village, city or realms, I think it may be possible to adapt it.
But one thing is sure... DnD lacks information/rules for High-level PC who wants to rule kingdoms !!
Special Thanks to Birthright.net who have adapted the old rule to DnD 3rd !!

i think in faerun realm magic is even more rare then in BR, some need to do just more to find/trace/detect those ancient leylines and use them
Mebhaighl is the magic flowing through the lands of Cerilia. so BR specific :PLast edited by Arjan; 04-04-2007 at 06:28 PM.

DMG II has rules for mercantile guilds.
Other sources for domain level play are:
Fields of Blood by Eden (has domain rules and mass combat slightly smaller than BR's 200 member units, but close). Uses gold as the base commodity (no regency).
Cry Havoc - has mass combat at the 20+ member unit size - no domain rules though.Duane Eggert

Looking in the birthright book, i see that a GB is roughly equivalent to 2,000 GP and I wondered how easily it would be for a PC to bring 2,000 GP, and construct a law or guild holding. Looking at standard DMG stats... well dosen't quite fit...
Also, keep in mind that while a regent may have a vast treasury full of gold, regency points are where it's at. =) You can drain a treasury with one war, with the building of roads, fortification, etc. You can always draw up a plan of action and sit down and go through a few seasons to see how it works in the FR economy.
Or, you can say "SUPRISE! The Sword and the Crown will be held in your country! You need to shell out 20 gb!" sneaky and not-so-nice, but maybe as a last resort?
