Just curious if anybody likes playing an evil charakters.
In my opinion it's not easy to play an evil one, especially in the Birthright campaign.
Which experience did you make while playing evil charakters ?
Seems that voting is "in" at the moment, so I attached a poll: which is the most-liked (and played) alignment.my purpose is now to lead you into the Pallace where you shall have a clear and delightful view of all those various objects, and scattered excellencies, that lye up and down upon the face of creation, which are only seen by those that go down into the Seas, and by no other....

I enjoy both playing, NPCing, and allowing others to play evil
characters - from time to time. It all depends on whether there is a
cooperative theme or a competitive theme to the game. I think it is a
terrible idea to play (or allow to be played) an evil character in a
cooperative game.

I leave evil to the NPCs and creatures in the game. I prefer playing lawful good characters.
I am assuming rg stands for lawful good. Otherwise the vote is like a hanging chad. Not very accurate.Lord Eldred

I don't think that playing evil is neccessarily difficult unless you're playing an overt and violent type of evil. That sort of thing gets you deposed quickly. However, a scheming and patient teflon villain can last indefinitely.

It is harder to play that type of evil. You can't mess up! One false move and everyone will kill you.

I would have to agree it is harder to be overtly evil and survive but I still say it is harder to role play the devious villain.

I played an evil character once and yeah, it was pretty stinking hard. Had to watch every step and speak very little. Problem is, eventually, after travelling with a group and spending lots of time with them, they start to sense your carefulness and start to grow suspicious.

For me it depends, Vos are really easy to run its there nature to be evil, with the harsh envirement there in and the trible wars and Belinik and Kriesha dont help matter much eaither. But in a more civilazed part of cerila well they do have to be carful.
One of the best campaigns I ran was in the Vos Guards the PCs survived and retired now, ones even an Awnsheghlien.Jonathan Rathbun
