Noble War?!
I intended originally to study the Art Of War. Daniel E-mail however brought up some points that I wish to address. Nobles became the "crime of society" at the expense of the common people, it was peasants who provided food for Nobles while( Note I strictly speaking of European Nobles since I am not to familiar with Asian or Middle Eastern Upper classes during the medieval era) broke their backs on fields and suffered due to lack of food and unsanitary conditions. The nobles in every sense of the word "Owned" them. And as for them knowing their abilities I can assure this was not so! Today for example how would you explain Vietnam or Afghanistan? Trained soldiers well equipped and in great numbers were beaten back by children and farmers using homemade weapons. Nobility for me is the courage to stand use your heart and head when violence seems easiest I think Shakespeare said it best when he wrote "Let loose the dogs of war" War is chaos in the flesh with rules frantically being written and rewritten on the spot..... Ask Saddam to fight fair : )
Samwise I think truly understood my original posting and its purpose. To the Vos and Rujrik guerilla warfare has always been a part of their culture and it served them well against the greatest empire in Anuires history...
Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favour fire
But if it had to perish twice
I think I know engouh of hate
To say that ice
Is also great
Abd would suffice

Of course Guerilla forces have been defeated historically - in the Boer
War and in Malaysia (mainly due to the fact that the Gurkhas were way,
way scarier than the Commuist Guerillas).

Yes. War is horrible. I suspect those people o the list who've served in
the military know this better than the rest of us. But this is a fantasy
game. With kights in shining armour. So it's possible for Good
characters to go to war, because that's the way that the world works.
