Actually, in the Atlas of Cerilia, I think it mentions how the Vos were
heavy duty magic users. Of course, I don't have the book with me to give
you any page references as is my wont... *grin*
Check under either the history section, or the description of the Vos as a
race. (or both :)

I see them more as a race that held wisdom and divination to be very
important. After all, they followed a god of magic, but at the time they
would mostly have been magicians (i.e. diviners and illusionists). I see
them as having important oracles as the centers of their culture.

I did? Or is there another me out here?

Oh, never mind. I was just wondering if I was doing something I forgot
about.
And thanks for the comment on "insightful". Considering what others call
some of my comment's you can make a little mistake like this. It evens out.

I believe that it states in the Atlas of Cerilia or somewhere that the
Vos were magicians not wizard.

On the other hand, Azrai created the Lost out of the Vos, and at least
some of them may have travelled with the Vos when they fled Aduria to
their current home, and helped Azrai out with the whole "corrupting"
process. I suppose some of the Lost may have created impressive
underground lairs or magical altars of sacrifice or some such magically
impressive monuments that still may be lying around.

And on that theme, a new Realm Spell:
Conceal Province (Enchantment/Charm; Alteration; Illusion/ Phantasm)
Caster Level: 18th
Required Source: 12 (this is just possible)
Regency Cost: 60/ province
GB Cost: 20/ province
Duration: 101 years
Effect: This spell cloaks a province with a very potent effect -
entrance into the province is impossible from outside and the existance
of the province is wiped from the memory of all creatures of 6th level
or less, and all those of higher level who fail their saving throws.
The province will typically appear to have vanished, and to some extent
exists in a pocket dimension. A coastal province will appear to have
disappeared, while an inland province will have been replaced with a
lake, impassable mountains or a flat, featureless plain.
Okay, it's a hugely over-powered spell, which probably never need turn
up in a campaign, but I could see it producing some nice Lyonesse-type
legends.

OH MY!! This is a spell of the daemons. The possible abuse and use for
this spell could explain the dissapearnce of Atlantis! I think the best
way to do this would be to put severe penalties on the user, such as an
aging penalty and 50% chance of death or something. Otherwise, what
would prevent the Gorgon from gaining a few levels and then making the
entire crown disappear?? A good spell, definitely, but one that can be
used too extensively for bad reasons. A super PC could hide all of his
realm too... insanity. Good luck!

I have a couple of ideas that will bring down the "abusablity" of this
spell, and make it more palatable to folks. Tell me what you think.

The spell should only be castable on Provinces that actually have a 12
Source Lvl (although I think Level 10 is good enough) that the Wizard
Regent controls. No help from Ley Lines allowed, and any entering a
Concealed Province should become severed as soon as the spell becomes
active (don't want any obvious trails).

This should be 6 RPs per DT.

This should be 3 GBs per DT.

Duration should be Special. Depending on how long the Regent continues to
pay upkeep. Although it would be cool to allow the Casting Wizard to
pre-pay for this spells Duration when it is first cast, and then it only
needs to be maintained after the initial payment has run out.
Anyways all of the above is MHO. Take it as you will.
