Personally, I like Ed's explanation best. :)

But, just so you know, I believe they had a conversion for a Dragon listed
in the article in Dragon Annual #2 (where they convert warcards to
battlesystem). I believe they had the Dragon there in warcard "format"
but, if not, they had it in battlesystem format which can be converted to
warcard format.
