5e SRD and DMGuild
So after a long time, WotC has finally released the DnD 5e SRD:
http://dnd.wizards.com/articles/feat...e-document-srd
But they have also released the Dungeon Masters Guild which among other things, lets you use the Forgotten Realms IP.
In the FAQs, they post the following about other campaign settings:
Is this going to remain Forgotten Realms only, or are other settings/IPs to be considered in the future??
We intend to open up additional settings and IP as time goes on. However, for the time being, we will remain focused on the Forgotten Realms.
It would be so amazing if they allowed to use the Birthright IP so we could publish new material for the setting for 5e... One can dream
Regards!

it will be a very good news if they can extend to Birthright !
May be we can check where we are about the 5th edition.

I don't know if there has been much work on that front, but if they opened the IP I'm pretty sure I would sit myself to write and publish an update.

Good to know more people are interested! But I think it's better to wait at this point to see how things move on with the DMGuild. It took them a long time to open Forgotten Realms, and in their latest settings survey Birthright was not even a Tier 2 setting.
It will be a good sign if they open other Tier 1 (Eberron, Planescape...) or Tier 2 (Dragonlance, Greyhawk...) settings.

I have added bookmarks to the SRD to make it more usable. If anybody wants a copy, just let me know.
