Curan Ondier was raised on Goewhyn by his mother Yeala Amaether. He was conceived during her brief affair with Solemar Aglondier, but the rakish Solemar soon fell in love with Lady Marissa Perchogian and paid Yeala a hundred gold pieces and sent her away. She returned to her family in northern Ilien. Yeala waited until Solemar died in 531 MR before telling her son of his heritage.
Curan has no designs on the throne, preferring the simple life of a farmer to the ruler of thousands. Even so his blood pushes him towards governance and he is the Mayor of Goewhyn. Curan is currently in his mid-forties and has a beautiful wife, Sasha Tym. They have three sixteen year old fraternal triplets, boys Roeme Ondier, Torean Ondier, and Boerus Ondier. Each of the boys has begun to exhibit characteristics of their bloodline. Curan's greatest fear is that his sons will discover their heritage and seek the throne. He worries that they may turn out like Solemar, fight the current regent, or worst of all turn on one another. He is attempting to raise them as simple farmers to keep them from these other paths.
