[top]Biography:
Savane is the daughter of Shaene Mhoried and the sister of Lileas Mhoried. While her older sister was the favorite of their father, their uncle Daeric Mhoried regarded Savane as his, and allowed her every indulgence. A fateful one was to allow her to attend an embassy from Tuarhievel led by Prince Fhileraene Llyrandor.
Savane had learned some of the legends of a happier times in Human-Sidhe relations, as well as some of the poems the elves had taught men during that time. These tales had always delighted her. However, upon seeing Fhileraene, she became deeply fascinated with the elves. When her mother, Nicolette Ranien saw this, she became convinced that the Sidhe prince had bewitched her. Savane's further obsession with Sidhelien things made Nicollette weep, for she was sure the elves would come back and steal her daughter. Neither Shaene nor Daeric gave those concerns much credence.
A year ago, Savane learned from merchants of the Upper Anuire Traders that a group of Northlands Exchange merchants were preparing a mission to the elven realm of Tuarhievel. She disguised herself as a caravan scout and went along. The tales she heard as a child could not compare to what she saw in Tuarhievel. She discovered that elves could be passionate and aloof, courteous and mocking, delightful and dangerous.
When Fhileraene saw her, he felt she was another human that was ready and willing to serve the purposes of the Sidhelien. He gave her close attention and training to guide her transformation. Just as others have been prepared before her, such as the Baroness Fhiele Dhoesone and Torele Anviras, Savane will one day be positioned to take control of Mhoried.
While the haters of men among the elves clamor for war, a more subtle path has been pursued by Fhilerwyn Llyrandor, Ibelcoris Llyrandor, and now Fhileraene, in hopes of finding a modus vivendi with the humans. They hope that the Anuireans and Rjurik can be persuaded to embrace the elven way of life by changelings in leadership positions.
The humans rejected this leadership when the elves first encountered them before Deismaar. If the humans will not conform to the Sidhelien ways this time, their changeling leaders will bring about their final submission to the elves.
