Dungeons and Dragons Edition 3.5

Dungeons & Dragons Edition 3.5 or D&D 3.5 is a previous version of Dungeons & Dragons, a role-playing game from the Wizards of the Coast. It was replaced by Dungeons and Dragons 4th Edition.

D&D 3.5 was a development of Dungeons & Dragons 3rd Edition, both of which are based on the D20 system of rules. This is one of many changes when compared to the preceding Advanced Dungeons & Dragons 2nd Edition (aka AD&D 2ed or D&D 2e).

In summary, some of major changes since 2nd edition:
  • Most dice rolls are now done using twenty-sided dice (d20).
  • Proficiencies are replaced by feats and skills.
  • Characters can now more freely select their professional skills and change classes.
  • All classes require the same increase of experience points to progress to the next class level.

The Birthright Campaign Setting was originally set up for AD&D 2ed. In order to allow fans to continue their Birthright enjoyment, the Wizards of the Coast has given permission to the community at http://www.birthright.net to discuss Birthright in their forum and to develop the D&D3.5 BRCS and associated documents (e.g the Atlas of Cerilia). Wizards have indicated that they have no plans to actually publish any D&D3.5 version of Birthright themselves but they remain copyright holders of Birthright and D&D3.5.
