Erin Romiene

Erin is the illegitimate daughter of Gaelen Riven, engendered after Gaelen?s wife Briende produced an heir and in so doing lost any need to pretend to care for her husband. His illegitimate daughter Erin lived in his household for years despite the animosity of Briende; after her elder half brother Colier was lost Erin fled the house rather than continue to inflame her step mother.
Erin is young, but shows great promise to Clumine. Early attempts at mercantile endeavors in an attempt to impress her father gave the young apprentice access to skills rarely held by a mage. Erin is keen to prove herself to Clumine seeing the mage as the mother she never knew, for her own mother died in childbirth and her father never legally recognized the daughter born out of wedlock.
Erin avoids her father, Gaelen Riven, like the plague, or more accurately, avoids her mother in-law. Her father misses the exuberant young Erin dearly and is blind to his wife?s hatred of the girl; Erin however is in no doubt about her step-mother?s desire to remove any possible 'confusion' about which of her husband's children will inherit his position.
